HAVE A BLESSED NEW YEAR!
I like to say "Have a Blessed New Year!" rather than "Happy New Year!" because none of us knows what's around the next bend. Maybe we can't always be happy, but we can always be blessed!
I'll admit 2011 was a happy AND blessed year for me - lots of wonderful times with family and friends, treasured moments with the grandJOYs, and an added bonus on October 22 when God blessed us with another grandson. Oh, the joys and blessings.
What will 2012 hold? Only God knows. But the blessing of it all is that God will be walking right through this year with me, and there is so much joy and blessed assurance in knowing that. If you haven't yet trusted Christ as Savior and Lord of your life, why not make 2012 be your year? There is nothing like the blessing of knowing He holds your hand through every circumstance of life, no matter what you face.
My verse of the year is found in Isaiah 41:13: "I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, 'Do not be afraid; I will help you.'"
Do you have a favorite verse? Why not share it below and be a blessing to someone who might just need to read it this very moment?
I love you all - and wish for each of you a BLESSED NEW YEAR!

Thank you Sharlene for the blessings and good wishes for the New Year to come. 2012 will be the best!! Your website/blog, is so nice and relaxing.
I wanted to ask you how you finally ended up going with Whitaker House? Did you get an agent or submit your first story to them by referral? This is the point where I'm at now, and it is so hard to know which way to go.
You have written many books and your readers love them, I'm looking forward to reading them. I grew up in Michigan and can relate to much of what you share.
God continue to guide you in your writing as you share His word through your own.
Blessings,
Diane Dean White
Shar, you are so right...we may not always be happy, be we are always blessed by belonging to Him who holds our lives in His hands! The last half of 2011 has been difficult for me, but "I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me." Happy Blessed New Year to you and yours!
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him for he careth for you. I've found that when I quit trying to control the situation, whatever it is,health, relationships, etc..., and give control to Him, He will take care of it for me. It is all to to easy to forget to "Let go, and let God" though.
Diane, you can Facebook message me if you like and we can talk there.
Nise', I'm so sorry to hear the second half of 2011 didn't go so well. Here's hoping and praying the Lord will fill you with peace, joy, and all His best blessings for the New Year.
Barb, that is a marvelous verse and one that has sustained me so many times throughout my life. Thank you for sharing it.
Love and God's best to all of you!
