MY BEAUTIFUL PUPPY, PEYTON!!!

On January 13 we had to put our beloved 11-year-old collie down, and my heart broke into a zillion pieces. Then three weeks later, my precious mommy went to be with Jesus. Since then, I have stayed very busy and kept my mind over-occupied with finishing Tender Vow the book releasing in September, and gearing up for starting my next 3-book series. Staying busy is important when dealing with private pain. I'm not saying you should sweep it under the rug, just that dwelling on loss doesn't accomplish a lot, tends only to make you sadder. So, I choose to keep my mind and body occupied.

I also got a new puppy!!! I blogged about this awhile back and even posted some pictures of my beautiful, mostly white, boy named Peyton (found him on Super Bowl Sunday; thus, the name Peyton after the infamous Peyton Manning, Indy's quarterback), telling about his long journey from Florida to Michigan--thanks to my darling hubby, Cecil, who brought him home after finishing a business trip.

In the almost six weeks since he came to us, he's grown taller and heavier. (He's going to be a big boy, since at 6 1/2 months, he's probably got a good four more months of growth to go.) He's made a great adjustment to our family, and we love him to pieces. Here're a few pics of him!

He is so handsome and will get even more so as he grows into his body!

Can't wait for Abbie Ann and Tender Vow.

Like your new design too.

Peyton is GORGEOUS (I'm a CAT-lover and I'm still calling a dog gorgeous, haha!!). He truly looks like a sweet dog, and I am so happy you got him---especially with what all you've been through back in the winter. Hugs and Love,
